Privacy policy

FloreSage is a mobile app published by S. Durègne, an independent developer, made to help gardeners look after their plants. This policy explains what data is collected, why, and how it is protected.

1. Data collected

FloreSage only collects data strictly needed to make the app work:

• User identifier: email address or Apple identifier (Sign in with Apple).
• Gardener profile: first name, region, climate (provided by you).
• Gardening data: gardens, plants, tasks, plant photos you add.
• Conversations with Flore (AI): questions asked and answers generated, so the conversation can carry on.
• Technical data: anonymised error logs, app version, device model — only to diagnose bugs.

FloreSage does not collect any advertising data, uses no third-party trackers and includes no behavioural analytics pixel.

2. Purposes

• Authentication and sync between your devices.
• Backing up your gardens, plants and tasks.
• Generating personalised advice via the Flore AI assistant.
• Task notifications (only if you allow them).
• Technical diagnostics in case of a bug.

3. Hosting and location

Your data is stored on Supabase servers located in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany). It is never transferred outside the EU.

Requests sent to Flore (AI assistant) are processed by Anthropic (Claude model) via a European API. No personal identification data is sent to Anthropic; only the content of your question and the minimal context of your garden are transmitted.

4. Sharing data

Your data is never sold, never shared with third parties for commercial purposes, and never used for advertising.

If you choose to share a garden with another user (family or community shared garden), the data of that garden will be visible to the invited users, within the limits of the permissions you grant.

5. Retention

Your data is kept while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from inside the app (Settings → Account → Delete my account). All your personal data is then erased within 30 days.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights:

• Right to access and to portability of your data.
• Right to rectification.
• Right to erasure (the “right to be forgotten”).
• Right to object to processing.
• Right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL (French data protection authority).

7. Cookies and identifiers

The FloreSage app uses no cookies. The website floresage.fr is static and uses no cookies either, apart from technical cookies strictly required for navigation.

8. Security

All communications between the app and our servers are encrypted (HTTPS / TLS 1.2+). Passwords are never stored in clear text. Sensitive data is protected by strict access rules (Row-Level Security).

9. Changes

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the app or to the law. The last update date is shown at the top of this page.
